Dear All,
My name is Nithish Benoy and I am KAGW's Youth President
for 2010. I know many of you personally, but there are
several people I still have to meet. I hope to meet each
and every one of you throughout the course of this year.
KAGW's new executive committee has been planning several
exciting events for this year and along with that, the
Youth Committee has been brainstorming on numerous fun
activities for this year. We started the year off with
volunteering at the DC Central Kitchen. The other major
events are as follows:
• April 10 - Competition for Literary items
• April 17 - Competitions for songs, Dances and Kerala
Queen
• June 26, 2010 -Youth Athletic Event - A day to play!
Bring your friends, participate, and compete in various
sports and athletics related events. Featuring track
competitions, football games, basketball tournaments and
so much more!
• August 21, 2010 - Thiruvona Pulari
• September 18, 2010 - KAGW Picnic
• October 16, 2010 - Cross Roads- A youth event that
focuses two hours on civic affairs and leadership and a
two hour seminar on "How to prepare for College
Admissions". Open to parents and special focus on 8th -
12th graders. This promises to be a truly beneficial
event.
• November 6, 2010 - EID Celebration and Literary Event
• December 5, 2010 - Christmas/New Year
I will send out more information concerning these events
as the date approaches. We also have other events
planned including service projects, road cleaning,
volunteering at soup kitchens, etc.
Let me also introduce the Youth Club Committee that will
be assisting me this year:

Mr. Praveen Kartholy is our Youth Club Advisor
There will also be a Facebook group called "KAGW Youth
Club 2010-2011". I encourage all of you to join because
that will have all of the information concerning all of
our activities and an opportunity to get connected with
other youth.
I definitely need your support to make this a successful
year. Please notify me about any suggestions you may
have about anything you would like to see done. We can
always use new ideas. I can't wait to meet all of you!
