Kerala Association of Greater Washington (KAGW) has been actively involved in organizing community focused events and programs, outreach activities, charity initiatives etc. in and around the Washington D.C. Metro area for the past few decades. Some of the charity activities include community blood Drives, annual support to the D.C. Soup kitchen, the Adopt-a-road program, SOME (So Others Might Eat), SAMAR (South Asian Marrow Association of Recruiters) etc.

KAGW Sports 2017

The Youth Liaison & Sport committee is planning to organize a number of exciting activities for the Washington Malayali community this year. Our major event is the community sports day in June. This event is open to all ages and has a variety of sports events for all groups and families.

Meet and greet your fellow pioneer malayalees at the KAGW Eid and Kerala Day Celebration

To help our young generation grasp the nuances of our Mother Tongue, Kerala Association of Greater Washington is conducting Malayalam Classes free of cost.
The class (began on March 27th) is taught by Mrs.Sunita John at The Marthoma Church (MCGW) auditorium, 322 Ethan Allen Takoma Park, Maryland, 20912.

This year the mission of KAGW Women's club will be to host activities for the women of our community that are informative and fun keeping in mind the 3T vision statement of 2014 - “Togetherness”, “Teamwork” and “Towards perfection”.  
 
The 2014 main women’s club activities will be geared towards betterment of health, fitness, creativity and contributing to a needy cause.
Talent Time , Generally a three (3) day art and literary competition for youth in the Mid-Atlantic region. This program makes it possible for kids in this area to demonstrate their abundant creative and artistic aptitude.
